Mandu

Description
Like dumplings or jiaozi for Chinese Lunar New Year, mandu are integral to Korean Lunar New Year or Seollal. These dumplings have a variety of fillings, with pork and kimchee as popular choices, and are often served in a hearty soup called tteok manduguk, which includes rice cakes. A common Lunar New Year family tradition is handmaking sometimes hundreds of mandu together.
